The Ritchie valens mural over in pacoima middle school which was.Origionally painted in 1985 and restored in 2009.Might be one of my favorite murals youve.painted mr valasquez and is the only one i would love to see in real life.I wonder if the kids in pacoima aprecciate the mural and respect it as it should be and think of it as a part of the history of pacoima middle school.I think the story of this his to remember and respect the legacy.Of ritchie valens which was a famous latin american singer. And even had a movie about him and his legacy but again i think that the painting was a homage. To ritchie and the legacy and songs that he left behind for the world to cherish and enjoy.

I think this is an amazing mural. I grew up in a house with a mother who listened and enjoyed Richie almost every day. This mural reminds me of my early childhood, which is why I like this mural.

In 1985, I was 13 (born in 1972) I lived in the San Fernando Valley, and was a student at Pacoima Jr High, as it was called back then. I remember this mural being painted. I remember the image as to was being drawn on the wall, and painted.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but this mural had a connection with me. I wouldn’t know it until sometime later in mt life when I moved to the small town of Clear Lake, Iowa.

I eventually learned that Clear Lake was where he played his last concert before the crash that took his life.

I wasn’t from his time, but I certainly enjoyed his music.

I really like this mural because it honors Ritchie Valens, who was loved by many people and when he passed away many people were heart broken. It is nice that people still honor him by doing many thing like murals.
